Tony Martin was an idiot!

He let one of his victims escape.

He would have been better off killing them both, disposing of their bodies and then going after
their low-life scum families (who obviously don't respect the law themselves otherwise they would
have brought their brats up to be respectable and law-abiding citizens in the first place).

If the judges and law-lords had to join the rest of society in the real world instead of hiding
behind body-guards and instantaneous police responses, then no doubt their wishy-washy attitudes
would change.

The truly sad thing about this case it that the only ones to gain anything are, as usual, the slimy
lawyers.

At last, the voice of reason.

He let one of his victims escape.
Perhaps not then...

I see you think that T.M. is a deranged killer then?

TM's main problem is that he had a illegal repeat action shot gun (the sort
used by "Shaft" in "Shaft's Big Score" ... "when this baby starts kicking it
won't want to stop". I would hope that anyone found with one of these in
Manchester where I live would get at least the five years TM got.

Add to that that he killed a child by shooting the lad in the back, and a
load of bravado at the pub about it, and you can see why the original
[local] jury handed him a murder conviction.

Conversely Kenneth Noye got off killing a PC (in fatigues and a balaclava)
in his garden the first time he tried a self defence defence.

So what? Fuck him. Tell you what, tonight myself and two friends will break
into your house and burgle/rape/murder/torture you and your kids (there's no
way you could tell which one until it was too late). Then you can sit us
down for a nice cup of tea. People like you make me laugh. You have never
faced fear and never felt pain (at the hands of another). When, at last, you
do, you will agree with me.

As soon as I *thought* that your intention included violence toward my
family or myself, I would not hesitate to use lethal force against
you, and I would be 100% confident that I would not be charged with a
crime.

I'll have the cuppa at the police station while I tell a sympathetic
officer why I had been forced to use lethal force. If you are very
lucky, you might get a cuppa in hospital as soon as you are well
enough.

I have, and I don't.

People like you make me laugh. You believe that unless you kill a
criminal, you would have to treat him like a friend.

Tony Martin felt the same - look where he ended up.

And people like you make me laugh, because you are unable to understand
the various options between shooting someone dead in cold blood without
being aware even if it was a little kid looking for shelter, and
inviting an intruder to rape your wife and murder your kids.

Surely a little kid looking for shelter would knock on the door or window
instead of smashing into the house? I imagine only those with bad and
criminal interntions break in. The big kid ( a 16 year old is hardly a
little kid!) was not shot dead in cold blood, but in the act of prowling
around in someone's house with the intention of stealing. If the occupier
did not have a shotgun, he would most likely have been overpowered and
coshed, perhaps ending up severely maimed for the rest of his life. Kids
nowadays look much older for their age and one one could tell that
especially in the dark.

Sad incident, but at the end of the day - you have the defender and the
invader and they are bound to fight. The defender of the home is always on
the side of the right according to traditional jurisprudence, don't you
think?
