(too old to reply)

For some reason my DVR failed to record last night's L&O:SVU, and I don't
get OnDemand here. I'm not willing to wait for the DVD to come out next
fall, and streaming isn't an option for me either, as my internet here is
too slow for it not to stutter and skip constantly (I've tried before
after missing episodes of other shows). So I'm going to need to download a
copy that I can watch offline, which means searching the torrent sitez.

That would be a lot easier if I knew the episode title and/or its season
and episode numbers, which are usually in the torrent file names.

Any help would be appreciated.

Note: Rants and raves about how I am "stealing" and therefore a terrible
person, when a) I wouldn't have paid for the episode if I'd seen it "the
normal way" anyway, except for my monthly cable bill, b) I have been
paying, and intend to continue paying, that cable bill, and c) if Comcast
doesn't want me torrenting the occasional episode they should make their
DVRs more reliable, will be summarily ignored.

According to my DVR, the title was "Presidential Debate". I don't have
the production number, but I think it was mostly about a shrew facing
off against a racist misogynist. Not one of SVU's better efforts, don't
buy the DVD just for this.

IMDb will have the ep number and title.

IMDb will have the ep number and title.
I would need to already know the episode title to look it up there.

epguides.com lists all the episodes of all the American cable and
network shows. Just look up the date and see what episode and season was
aired.

That's assuming NBC even aired a new episode; considering the
competition of the debate, they may just have had a rerun instead.

Hmm. According to Epguides - http://epguides.com/LawandOrderSVU/
there was no new episode aired on Oct 19.

That can't be right. They've only aired a couple of new episodes as of yet
this season. It's way too early to be going back into reruns already!

They aired the debate, just like CBS, ABC, and Fox did.

Wasnt' there a debate? If not, then there's always the baseball playoffs.

The original post was just a more deviously phrased post from Seamus.
